Okuma MULTUS B, a 5-axis machining plant with the possibility of producing fully finished components with complex geometries.
The Okuma MULTUS B series is a range of multitasking (Turn-Mill) lathes with a B-axis milling head, combining turning and milling in a single machine. It includes the B200II, B250II, B300II, B400II, B550 and B750 models, sized for increasing production needs. The tool magazine starts with a base capacity of 20 pockets on the B200II, B250II, B300II and B400II models (expandable to 40 or 60 on the first two, and up to 120 on the latter two), while on the B550 and B750 models the base capacity rises to 40 pockets, with the option to reach up to 160. This progression allows choosing, within the same series, the configuration best suited to the complexity of machining cycles and the number of tools required, while maintaining across the whole range the multitasking layout that characterizes the MULTUS B family.
