Kent KGS WM Series
This series of machines has been designed with an extremely rigid structure to perform flat machining operations within very tight tolerances.
The axis slideways are coated with Turcite-B. The machine functions are controlled by a Mitsubishi PLC, and the main controls are located on a liquid crystal ‘touch screen’ panel. On the screen, it is possible to set the total amount of stock to be removed, the roughing and finishing increments, the number of flame-extinguishing passes, and the retraction value of the grinding head at the end of the cycle.
The hydraulic longitudinal table movement, sliding on large-section prismatic flat guides combined with a special reversing valve, ensures exceptionally smooth movement at speeds of up to 28 m/min.
The transverse axis guides are large-section double-V-shaped, ensuring straight and accurate movement over time. The valve block and hydraulic power unit are separate from the machine body. The grinding wheel spindle rotates on ultra-precise (class P4) preloaded angular contact bearings with lifetime lubrication.
Ergonomic layout, easily accessible to the operator for both day-to-day use and maintenance.
